a friends asking about this thing. What should he look for? LOW miles.
yea its an auto but its for his GF. She may be getting a new job and would need a cheap vehicle. AWD is a plus for New England.

Leaks. From everywhere. Of the oil and coolant varieties. Torn CV boots. Clicking while turning at slow speeds. Binding or shuddering while turning at slow speeds. Faults for catalyst efficiency, mixture formation, or oxygen sensors. Service history.

how much of a service history would you expect with only 54k miles on it?

I know, I was quick to get that in there. My only uneducated opinion is that it looks nice.
I tell people I don’t actually know that much about cars, just fix mine when they break or need maintenance. I don’t scour magazines for stats, data, and reviews for all cars, especially the ones they are asking me about.
Then again you probably don’t either and why you’d ask here. See, I’m answering my own statements with reasons. Carry on.
Good luck

No idea what they’re supposed to have in that time. But a lot of items have age requirements as well, possibly including timing belts. If that’s original I would definitely want it replaced immediately.

54k miles for $6500? I think I would take it to a shop to have a once over done and if all is well buy it.
